The Chamber Health Benefits Plan: Shared Strength, Reduced Cost

SummaCare and the Greater Akron Chamber have partnered to offer Northeast Ohio small businesses the Chamber Health Benefits plan, a multiple employer welfare arrangement (MEWA).
Tailored Plans and Access to Top-Tier Providers
Choose the right plan for your company and employees by selecting from a variety of plan designs and networks. Just like benefit choices—one size doesn’t fit all. SummaCare believes in giving employers a choice of provider networks. That is why we have developed three unique network options to choose from. Our network strategy allows SummaCare to provide the highest quality of care with a cost structure that is exceptionally competitive.
SCPremier Network — Our broadest network that includes over 61 hospitals, including all Summa Health, Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals and MetroHealth locations.
SCSelect Network — Is a specialized network that includes all hospital systems minus the Cleveland Clinic with the exception of Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Stark County.
The Preferred Choice Network — High quality, cost effective tailored network that includes Summa Health, Cleveland Clinic and Akron Children’s designed to meet the needs of employees residing in Summit, Stark, Medina, Portage, Cuyahoga and Wayne and surrounding counties.
Membership Eligibility
To be eligible for the Chamber Health Benefits Plan, you must be a member of the Greater Akron Chamber or a member of a participating affiliate chamber and your company must be within the 21-county service area.*

Add dental, vision or life insurance coverage to your medical and prescription drug coverage with the flexibility of selecting the coverage best for your employees. We offer four dental plans, two vision plans and four life and AD&D benefit options. Plans are à la carte and may be purchased in any combination between the three categories. You may select one benefit plan each from the three benefit categories, dental, vision, and life to offer your employees.
